The Casa Magna Colorado tobacco is grown in two very different regions of Nicaragua: tobacco from Estelí  (where most Nicaraguan cigars are produced) is strong, while tobacco from Jalapa, to the north, is more balanced and elegant.

Combining the two creates a full-flavored cigar with rich notes of pepper, cedar, strong leather, faint sweet chocolate and a touch of citrus. 

The name "Colorado" refers to the wrapper's deep, reddish hue.

Cigar Aficionado ranked this cigar as the #1 Cigar of the Year in 2008, giving it a rating of 93 points.
